Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro will go on sale in India today, price starts from Rs 9,999

• Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro are set to go on sale in India for the third time today at 12 noon. The newly launched affordable Xiao Redmi smartphones will be available exclusively on Flipkart and Mi.com, Xiaomi's own e-store. Redmi Note 5 will be selling at a starting price of Rs 9,999, while the Pro version, aka Redmi Note 5 Pro base variant will cost around Rs 13,999. Both the smartphones will be available in various colour options like - black, gold, lake blue and rose gold.

During the first sale, which was set for Feb 22, Xiaomi as the company claims managed to sell all the devices in a matter of just a few seconds. Both the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, during the first sale, went out of stock in seconds. Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain claimed that the company managed to sell around 3 lakh handsets of the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. The scenario was the same during the second sale as well. We can expect the same scenario for today's sale as well.





In addition, Xiaomi has also partnered with Flipkart to provide several launch offers to the consumers, the key highlight among all of them is the Jio Rs 2200 cashback and double data offer. Xiaomi together with Flipkart is offering several offers to buyers on purchasing the smartphones from the e-commerce site. Axis Bank Buzz Credit card users will get an additional 5 per cent.
The Redmi Note 5 succeeds last year's most popular and selling smartphone by the company -- the Redmi Note 4, while the Redmi Note 5 Pro is the high end version of the Note 5 and the spiritual successor to the Redmi Note 3, as Xiaomi claims. The Redmi Note 5 comes in two variants the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which costs around Rs 9,999 and the second one is the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which will be available for Rs 11,999.

Coming to the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the smartphone will also be available in two variants -- 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and 6GB RAM and 64GB storage at Rs 13,999 and Rs 16,999 respectively.
