There was a time not so many years ago when the most a mobile phone could do was to make calls, send SMS, play songs etc. But, mobile phones back then were more reliable and evergreen unlike today's smart phones which get upgraded every 6 months to a year making the older ones outdated and boring.
But, over all these years, mobile phones have seen a drastic transformation in terms of design, features and what they can do. Even after all this, mobile phone makers have the urge to revisit the past. We recently saw something like this by Nokia when the company took the wraps off a popular old phone, the 8110. The phone has been relaunched in a 4G avatar. Apart from Nokia, Motorola has also been in talks of relaunching its iconic Moto Razr phone.
